ICT and Youth Involvement

What can we do to better involve Nigerian Children and Youths in ICTs?

Some considerations:

  • The youth awareness of ICT started gaining attention in our society about 14 years ago
  • The use of ICTs follows the development of the country, which means the more the country develops, the more will be the use of ICTs
  • The potentials of ICTs for Development (ICT4D) is clear, but the ways of putting it to better and effective use is more complicated

There is no field today without an ICT Application. Ability to create a conducive environment for children and youths for the utilization of ICT will have a great impact on the technological advancement and the future of a nation like Nigeria.
